New Training Program available for area manufacturers
What has four wheels, state- of- the-art equipment, and the ability to train your employees right at your doorstep?

GRENADA, MS - The Grenada County Economic Development District announced today that a new training program called M.O.S.T (Mobile Outreach Skills Training) is available for Grenada manufacturers. The program offers a Mobile Training Unit where state-of-the-art training in manufacturing is provided on company grounds at the time requested by individual companies.

The training consists of practical skills, theory and hands-on curriculum that utilize both computer-based 3-D simulations and hands-on, self-paced training modules. After a two-week intensive training session, participating employers have the opportunity to interview and hire trainees. Trainees who are hired will receive customized work-based training from Time Wise staff. The programsí rigorous pre-screening and testing, combined with the work-based training, has guaranteed for years an 85 percent retention rate after six months of the initial hire.

The program is provided at no cost to employers and is funded by a grant from the Governorís office to the Mississippi Partnership Workforce Investment Area. Companies using the program may also qualify for the Mississippi STEPS (subsidized transitional employment program & services) and OJT (on the job training) funding.

Existing companies are invited to take a tour of the mobile training unit at the office of the Economic Development District on Wednesday, March 31st from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The EDD office is located at 81 S. Church Street in downtown Grenada.

For more information on the M.O.S.T program, call Pablo Diaz at 662-229-9502 or e-mail the EDD at info@grenadameansbusiness.com. For detailed information about Time Wise Management Systems, visit www.timewisems.com.
